More and more people are flocking to the City. And what happens in the City spreads like a virus everywhere else. So one of the most strategic ways we can be a part of God's redemptive work in this world is to live as devoted followers of Jesus in the City.
What if God doesn’t have something great in store for your life?
The way of Jesus is not the American dream. Life will be easier if you don’t follow Jesus—because you can look out for your own interests if you don’t follow Him. You can protect yourself from pain. You can spend all of your might and energy on success. You can rise higher, attain growth, and achieve your destiny—but not with Jesus.

When the world crumbles around us, in the midst of our guilt and our worry, sometimes our number one concern is "how am I going to be an optimist about this?" After all, if we'll just close our eyes, doesn't it feel like nothing's all that wrong?

The Christmas story is that God gave up His rights for our sake. But is the world actually hearing/seeing the Christmas message from the church in America? People will know Christ by the way we give up our rights for the sake of others - even though it will cost us.
