Mark 14:12-25
Jesus is sharing the Passover meal with the Disciples
Passover is the promise of deliverance to an oppressed people
There is no lamb, because Jesus is the lamb
There are no bitter herbs, because Jesus is liberating us from our oppression
“This is my body” means “This is all of me, body, mind, and soul, and it’s for you.”
Jesus’ liberation is NEVER only spiritual
He liberates us from the bankrupt systems of this world.
We can live in the Kingdom of God right now, while it’s not here in full yet. We can live as if we are in it now.

How do you deal with the tension of being free from chasing power, materialism, etc, but still feeling pulled toward it?
Do you have a picture of being free from sin that is more than just morality and behavior?
