God’s self-disclosure is both beautiful and revolutionary. Knowing Him will remake us and allow us to participate in His remaking of the world around us. He’s that different from anyone else we’ve ever encountered. And He’s that good.
Main Text: Isaiah 2:1-5
What is the Bible? This is a huge question with many possible answers. We’ll address it from a variety of directions in this series.
This week we’ll see that the Bible is God’s self-disclosure to us—it tells us who He is, who we are, and what this world is becoming.
The Bible is great, but it’s not God. It tells us about God, and so our aim is always to use it as a means of knowing Him, of truly entering into His presence and reality.
What if we read the Bible this way? Maybe we’d know how to approach it. Maybe we’d read it, and maybe the Spirit would use it to bring us life.
