Have you ever wondered why we can have such different experiences with food depending on how it’s enjoyed? We can scarf down a meal in our car to feed our bodies, or we can enjoy a long meal with good friends and feel our hearts and souls fed as well.

This week we ask this question, and wonder why God created us as hungry creatures in this first place. We look at passages from Genesis, Psalms, Acts, and Revelation, and try to understand how God means for us to view our food.

Should eating be a spiritual act?

Blessing a spiritual feast:

“God, we thank you that there is coming a day when all that is wrong will be made right, all that is broken will be made whole, and all that is marred will be made beautiful. And we thank you for glimpses of that day as we share good food with good friends.”
