Looking to get connected, in general, at Redemption? Here are some ideas to get you started.
September 29, 10a
Kid Dedication will take place during the service on Sunday. Dedicating your children to God is primarily an act of prayer. We're pleading with Him on behalf of our kids, asking for His mercy, asking Him to make the life-changing grace of Jesus a tangible reality to them. Our entire church family will be praying to point your child to Jesus. Questions? Ready to sign up? Read more here.
Water & Wine Night
October 18, 7p
With all kinds of sparkling waters to try, and all kinds of wines, we’re hosting a low-key evening of celebration. We’ll mingle, talk, connect, and pursue deep friendship with each other.
As Psalm 104:14 says, God blesses humanity, in part, by giving us “wine that makes people feel so good.” So we’re gathering in celebration, of God’s good gifts, of each other, of life itself. We hope you’ll join us. We hope you’ll bring a friend.
A Year of Deep Friendship
Over these twelve months, until school starts in 2020, we’re going to repeatedly, emphatically, and prayerfully explore the theme of friendship. We have three goals in mind for every member of Redemption, that each of us would be able to say:
I’m deep friends with Jesus.
I’m living a life full of deep friendships with Jesus’ friends.
I’m living a life that invites deep friendships with my neighbors.
Read more about it on our dedicated web page, which we’ll be updating throughout the year with resources, helpful ideas, and pieces of encouragement.
Mentors for Kids
We have mentorship programs at Longfellow Elementary School and Pershing Middle School. They are a special opportunity to love our neighborhood by building up the next generation. You will be able to form a meaningful connection with a student as you guide them in understanding their potential by becoming a consistent source of encouragement in their life. Sign up for more information.
The Church Under the Bridge
The last Tuesday of every month at 7p, we partner with the Church Under the Bridge to feed and love the homeless. Every HUB provides food a few times a year, but we also have a team of regulars who serve monthly to build relationships and bring dignity and gospel hope to these men and women in need. If you’re interested, sign up and we’ll meet to get you all the info you need.
Second Saturday Harvey Relief
The second Saturday of every month, 9a-3:30p. We're banding together every month with a few other local churches to help with physical labor related to Hurricane Harvey relief. No tools or expertise required. Sign up today, and we'll send you all the info!
